USE

• On steel and concrete for protection against corrosion and carbonation.
• For repairs to reinforced concrete where the reinforcement bars have been damage by deicing salts or marine environment.
• For preventive treatment of reinforcement bars where they are not sufficiently covered.

INSTRUCTIONS

Substrate: Clean, free from grease and oil, no loose concrete and rust pieces.

Preparation of the reinforcement:

• Recommended: Sand blasting.
• Minimum: Carefully clean with steel brush.

Mixing: Mix as much material as you can be sure of applying before it sets. Place component A (liquid) in appropriate container and add adequate quantity of component B (powder). Mix  carefully avoiding bubbling for 3 minutes. Small quantities by hand, bigger quantities using a low rotation speed electric mixer (250 rev/min).

Keep as less air in the mix as possible. The mixed material has to obtain such workability to be applied by brush, barely liquid. If necessary workability can be adjusted by adding one of the two components.

Application: Apply first layer on the already clean reinforcement, 1 mm thickness, with a medium to hard brush. You can't avoid applying some quantity on the neighbouring concrete, this is not a problem. The second layer is being applied the same way, 2-3 hours after the application of the first layer (in 20°C). Subsequent layers of repair mortars can be applied after the same time. For epoxy mortars the application one has to wait at least 24 hours, except if they are water based.

Cleaning: The application and mixing tools can be cleaned with water as long as the material has not set, else only in a mechanic way.

USEFUL DATA

Storage conditions: Protect component A against frost and component B from humidity.

Shelf life: At least 6 months in the original packs.

Packaging: Pre-dosed packs component A= 1 kg, component B= 3 kg.

Dosage: Component A: Component B= 1:3 per weight.

Limits:

• Minimum application temperature at 5o C.
• 2 layers of thickness 1 mm in minimum.
• Minimum adhesion to concrete: 2N/mm².
• Minimum adhesion to steel: 1 N/mm².
