DOMOGUNIT is a ready for use setting accelerator and waterproofing agent for gunite in powder form. It complies with EN 934-5 Table 2.

USE

DOMOGUNIT is used as an accelerator of setting and hardening in liquid and powdered gunite for:

• concrete repair,
• tunnel construction,
• mine tunnel construction,
• open excavations,
• swimming pools,
• thin shell construction etc.

ADVANTAGES

DOMOGUNIT  contributes to the hydration of cement by adding the following advantages:

• increase of watertightness,
• decrease of rebound and dust production,
• better adhesion on wet, damp or dry surfaces,
• increase of layer thickness.

INSTRUCTIONS

Dosage: The dosage of DOMOGUNIT depends on the desired setting time. The usual dosage is from 2 to 4% on cement weight.

Preparation: The substrate is cleaned from loose particles and wetted if dry. Cement plays a very important role in setting velocity, thus standardized Portland cement of good quality must be used. Aggregates must be of the appropriate grade in order to allow the desired strength and watertightness.

Application: DOMOGUNIT is added in the dry mix of cement and aggregates in the mixer.

USEFUL DATA

The setting time of gunite depends on the quality and the temperature of the substrate and the ambient, the quantity and quality of cement and the concrete formula and temperature. Tests are recommended in order to determine the dosage as a function of the desired setting time. DOMOGUNIT is alkaline, so preventive measures such as covering of eyes and arms, use of protection cream, are recommended.

Packaging: Bags of 12.5 kg.

Shelf life: At least 6 months in the original sealed containers at a dry spot and at temperature over 0°C.
